Making tamales was my ultimate goal for my 20% project. Now, that I have accomplished that. I am thinking of modifying the salsas that I made and make meals with them. As I was making the tamales, I learned quite a lot. I though that my mother had been making tamales for centuries. She has been making tamales for a couple of years. She came up with the idea of making chicken with salsa verde tamales. Perhaps, I could make chicken with salsa roja tamales, cheese with salsa verde/roja tamales, or carne with salsa roja/verde tamales. | |

What was the most difficult part about? It seems that prepping the ingredients is simpler than put them together.

Similarly to your thinking, I used to think that my mom had been cooking for centuries as well, since she is so good. An interesting perspective to take is that these are traditions that are passed down, so essentially they are century old techniques.
